Anthony has been designing and overseeing the deployment of IT solutions to meet the needs of customers since 1986 with employers including Computer Associates, Sequent, IBM and SAS Institute. In 2007 Anthony resigned as NZ Country Manager of SAS Institute to join the management team of Xero and since that time has been involved with several local startup companies.
Data warehousing, Business Intelligence & Analytics has been a core focus for Anthony since the early 2000’s when Sequent built and sold the first Intel-based servers that were capable of scaling to the size required for large data warehouses and reporting platforms. This continued during the 5 years.
Anthony spent working for SAS Institute helping customers gain important insights into their businesses by collecting, enhancing and analysing the data that they collected every day from their operational systems. Cloud computing has now reached a level of maturity that enables the largest of companies to rely on it, and this is causing the disruption that the IT industry has ever faced. Not just because you can get rid of your servers and host your applications with someone else, but because smaller innovative companies with much lower overheads are able to offer IT solutions as a monthly service to customers priced at a fraction of what it has traditionally cost.
Today Anthony works helping small innovative companies harness the full potential that Cloud computing offers to deliver world-leading solutions that enable customers to visualise their business data and gain ongoing insights into the improvements that are possible – quickly and cost effectively.
